Would you ever run a marathon breathing out of a small paper bag? So why ask your engine to rev all the way to redline breathing through the restrictive factory airbox? The plastic factory airbox is good at muffling intake noise and enhancing low rpm/low speed engine performance, but becomes very restrictive when the engine is operating in the higher rpm range – where most performance drivers need it.

The NEUSPEED P-Flo allows you to uncork the intake side of your engine, drawing in a nearly unlimited supply of air. Most applications gain an honest 5-10hp at the wheels in the midrange and higher RPMs (depending on the vehicle.) Plus, every P-Flo kit includes a high-performance, multi-layer cotton gauze air filter that is washable and reusable, and traps dirt better than your original paper filter. You also get an aggressive, deep throaty engine roar when you step on the gas pedal.

Note
The OE engine cover is an integral part of the OE air intake box, and must be removed as part of the installation of the P-Flo Kit. Neuspeed has a carbon fiber engine cover that can be used along with their P-Flo intake. See the related part for more details.

THIS INTAKE IS FOR THE 2.0T FSI MOTOR ONLY! IT WILL NOT FIT THE TFSI MOTOR RELEASED MID 2008.

Intake works/sounds great and install was relatively easy. (OEM hose clamps by the turbo are a bit of a pain if you don't have the right tools...) After about a month of use, the rubber isolator came loose from the intake and caused the pipe to vibrate against the brake lines. Nothing epoxy couldn't fix, but that's why it gets 4 stars and not 5. The intake alone didn't seem to add power, but I love the DV noise. Works great in conjunction with APR software (Running Stage 2+ now).

Install was a breeze, really opens up the engine in conjunction with stage 2 s/w and a down-pipe. It is however a lot louder than I expected and has a weird hoot/harmonic when at part throttle which is very annoying. Will be replacing entire intake in the near future as I have since read several other instances of people with the same issue.

This is something that VW should have installed from the getgo. The OEM clamps are a pain to get off, but this is simple to install. Check engine came on a few times, but the computer final adjusted. It does feel like there is an improvment in power when the turbo kicks in. Air filter right in front verses having to take OEM engine cover off in order to check filter. FYI: VW techs really dislike this. Tried to blame 2 problems with my car on this system.
