The GHL Motorsports hardened upper intercooler pipe is made of durable, heat resistant 4 ply silicone. The pipe has been designed to be a direct factory replacement for the soft woven piece that comes standard on the 1.8t engine. In high pressure scenarios the woven pipe can swell causing an increase in overall intercooler plumbing volume adding lag and delayed throttle response. Although not much of a concern on a stock vehicle this becomes more of an issue as the car is modified to move more volume of air. The GHL Upper Intercooler Pipe is an excellent upgrade for enthusiasts who are running aftermarket intercooler kits that replace some factory plumbing but leave the woven stock piece untouched.
Includes two new hose clamps for installation.
