Many owners have unfortunately discovered that the OEM Solenoid valves on the VAG 2.0 litre FSIt engines have their limitations. If you are running increased boost pressures after a software remap or the valve is being subjected to high temperatures, the lifespan of the OEM unit is quickly reduced. Ultimately the diaphragm fails. Fortunately, Forge Motorsport has the solution. Their valve and installation kit replaces the original unit with a vacuum operated piston valve that retains the engine management control. This means that you can have the reliability of a piston valve and not have to sacrifice all the benefits the manufacturer built into this type of ECU-controlled system.
If you have already purchased one of Forge's Blow Off Spacers, or wish to do so, you can rest assured that they are fully compatible with this product.
This vacuum operated piston valve and installation kit replaces the OEM solenoid valve valve that is directly mounted on the turbocharger on the VAG 2.0 litre FSiT applications. All the necessary parts are included and designed to make this a simple install.
PLEASE NOTE: This package comes with a silver blow off spacer to match the diverter valve.

| I want to start by saying that NAM is one of the best retailers that I've dealt with and I will continue to do so! The Forge replacement diverter is a must have when you take your 2.0FSIt to the next level. However, the ABOVS is not a good move, especially if you're chipping and/or running a larger turbo setup. Just remember, this is a closed loop system for a reason, and if you're over 20psi the aftermarket intake you should be running will give you all the "psht" you need.
With forged intenals and some head work this motor really delivers! |

| The Forge DV and spacer are great products. Installation was very simple but does require some patience and finesse since there is very little space in that part of the engine bay. Using a lift would make this much easier. Although it is not proven, I have noticed that I hold boost at high RPM a little better compared to stock. I am boosting about 21 psi and the valve is working perfectly. The spacer serves no performance purpose but does sound very nice. It is not a very loud obnoxious “blow off” compared to your typical Blow OFF Valve. Also, I have had both parts installed for close to a month and there is no CEL. Overall I am very pleased and could not be happier.
NOTE: When either connecting the nozzles (for the vacuum line / boost gauge) or plugging the holes in the vacuum tap, be sure to use the mid-strength loctite as stated in the instructions. If you do not do this, the plugs will very likely come out and cause a vacuum leak.

| I have the 2008.5 engine, Basically a 2009 TSI (TFSI). I bought this product and recieve it really quick. It took me 1.5 hours. I recommend using a frame lift and not jacks, trust me. The stock part is a little tricky to get the top bolt but the other 2 is easy. This package is definetly the way you wanna go, when done right the outcome is worth it. I didnt use the adapter the kit came with because I bought the aftermarket hose from AWE Tuning. However North Amercian Motorsports ROCK! I also bought the NEW South Performance gauge from them. Great combination witht his kit. I route the cable for the gauge up near the firwall to stand clear of the moving parts in the transverse engine. Thank again North American Motorsports, your customer service is also awesome, like you prices. BEst website for the parts I need! |
