This quickshifter, once installed, will allow you to shorten the movement of your gear shift in order to obtain the optimum shifting times required for performance driving . You can personally customise the throw to suit your own preference due to an infinitely adjustable pivot mechanism. This wide range of adjustment should allow for adjustment from stock to a 40% decrease in shifter throw. This shifter will fit MKIV and MKV 6spd VWs including the MKV FSI and TSI motors.
PLEASE NOTE: This product is supplied with two sizes of pin and one ball fitment, to ensure that it will match the various possible cables found on these vehicles.

| Highly recommended when combined with a shifter bushing kit. Shifter now feels as it should be. One of the best mods to improve the fun factor of your car. You can also easily adjust it for longer throws if you feel maximum reduction is too much. Highly recommended.
Note: Make sure to adjust shifter cables properly, there is in fact a lock mechanism on the transmission arm for Mk5's. Also ask a buddy to help center the shifter into it's home position inside the car as I found the nail alone had too play in it to adjust the cables correctly. |

| I love everything about this quick shifter. It was easy to install, it came with everything needed to install and was straight forward. I love the fact that you can choose any amount of difference from 0-40% rather than 2 or 3 pre set points. I recommend this its a bang for your buck difference. |

| Just picked this part up about a week ago and I must say it is one of the best investments ive made in the car so far. I didnt realize how bad the stock shifter is in terms of length of the throw and just how overall you feel disconnected from the car. With the Forge Short Shifter you feel that connection again, every shift is short, quick, and precise. Hell, i dont even autox or drag it but even on a daily basis it makes the car that much more enjoyable to drive. A++ for an awesome product. |
