Autotech's adjustable cam sprocket starts with a specially modified, late model (lightest type), OEM cam gear. The gear allows up to 4 degrees advance or retard of the camshaft timing in 1 degree increments. You can correctly "zero-in" (degree) your camshaft to the recommended setting with ease. In general, advancing the cam timing increases low-end torque and improves throttle response. Retarding the camshaft timing will generally shift the powerband upward, increasing top-end power. Another feature of our sprocket (unlike some other manufacturers') is that an indexing screw is used. This indexing screw precisely secures your timing selection in one of the 9 positioning holes. The index screw eliminates destructive slippage which can occur in other units. The beautiful, red anodized 6061-T6 aluminum plate and all modifications to the standard gear are performed on a CNC milling machine. All timing marks are milled on the face of the gear. Aircraft grade hardware and Allen hex wrench are included.
PLEASE NOTE: Fits all 8V gas engines, except A4 Chassis.
