APR Motorsport's first product release from the 2008 Race Season is the new Roll Control Front and Rear Anti-sway Bars. After much testing of APR Motorsport's MKV GTI Koni Challenge Race Cars, the suspension was finally dialed in with the addition of the Roll Control Anti-sway Bars.Three adjustment settings allowed APR Motorsport to specifically cater the reduced body roll and increased slip angle provided the by the Roll Control Anti-sway Bars to each racing environment. Weight Reduction over the original equipment bars and increased stiffness of the chassis allowed for faster lap times through quicker corner exit speeds and reduced understeer. Roll Control Anti-sway Bars are available separately only. Either the Rear or Front Roll Control Anti-sway Bars is a great cornering enhancement individually for original equipment and aftermarket suspension components. In combination with a true coilover suspension system, APR recommends both Rear and Front Roll Control Anti-sway Bars for the best performance. Three unique adjustment positions allow for a perfect fitment and precise operation for Audi A3's and all VW MKV Chassis 2.0T Vehicles.Detailed Installation Instructions are included. After 5 years of ownership and various tweaks to sway bars and bushings it handled quite sharply. Moving to a 2009 Jetta TDI brought a softer suspension feel with a bit more body roll than I was accustomed to. The installation of the APR Motorsport 27mm Rear Swaybar was just the improvement I was looking for. There is a reduction in body roll through corners. Turn in feels a bit quicker. And a bit of a reduction in Understeer or "Push". Now don't get me wrong the Jetta is no Mini Cooper S, but it is now a much more enjoyable daily driver. The only fault I could find was the welding on the bushing location washers. They were welded on the inboard side. This is where the poly bushings are located and made the installation a bit tougher than it had to be. And by the way, it was about a 40 minute job to put the car on ramps, unbolt the oem swaybar and install the APR swaybar. Just make sure you have the tripple square bit required for the VW bolts.
