DirectPort performance files are not available on all 1.8T motors. Availability is dependant on your particular ECU number. Not available for vehicles without drive-by-wire in a DirectPort format.
APR chips are available in an octane specific version for the octane of gasoline that you typically run in your car. All APR chip upgrades use encryption, which serve several purposes. Mainly, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. Also, all APR software is undetectable to a dealers VAG diagnostic tool.
All APR chip software comes with lifetime free updates. There is also a lifetime warranty against defects in the software. All chip upgrades have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee.

Prices listed above are for one performance program such as the 91 octane or 93 octane file. If you are interested in the ability to switch back to stock, or would like to be able to access multiple programs (i.e. Stock, 91 octane, 93 octane), the available options below are an additional expense on top of the price above. Switching between stock and performance, or between any of the files installed on your car is performed through your cruise control switch.

| In short, the APR stage 1 is what the car should have come with from the factory. It's the little extra power the car was missing. I'm very happy with the decision to add APR software; however, I will mention one thing. Shortly after performing this upgrade, I did notice a little hesitation in 6th gear on the highway, downshifting to 5th was fine. My plugs had about 35K on them. (OEM NGK Plat's) I was due for a plug change so I switched to the NGK 6E's (Copper) plugs, (That's another story) Love the plugs, but still noticed a tad of surging. On the boards there was a lot of talk about the 710N DV, its the DV out of the 225TT. SO I went and picked one up for 60bux, put it in yesterday and aside from the "one time" hose clams VW/Audi is notorious for, it was smooth. All in all, I highly recommend changing your DV to a 710N with this software upgrade, the surging has stopped and no hesitation any longer.

| The guys at NAmotorsports did the stage 1 direct port earlier today and i was extremely pleased with their service. Good guys, very knowledgeable, and they're open on sat unlike other New England shops. I am definitely going back. As for the chip- it's awesome. I was initially taken back because it's so smooth it felt as though it was still factory but the torque and top end power increase is very noticeable and useable. From either tooling around town or on the highway the car has great power. If you're looking for an entry level upgrade and not seeking huge power gains this is a must. Also with the APR deal going on right now it's great bang for the buck. |

| Just purchased the Apr Chip over the weekend and it only took about 45 mins to install, now my 20th AE really pulls. The torque is very noticeable and my car is completely stock. I have to two settings setup (stock and 93) so after bolt on parts are on I will be running the program more often. The only down fall is that you can see you gas gauge move but to each it’s own. |

| You can definately notice a big differance in power. A must buy for any 1.8T owner. The only downfall I encountered was my ECU would only allow for one program to be writen. So switching between different programs ie. stock and 93 was out of the picture. Oh well, I'll live without. |

| This is how the car should have come from the factory. The car is more responsive, quicker, and more fun to drive. Plus I get better fuel milage of 1-4 MPG, depending how heavy my right foot is. Well worth the cost, and one of the best mods you can do on a 1.8T car! |
